De la O family from Colotlan and Boquilla, Jalisco

I'm researching my sister-in-laws family, a tree is in the files area under
    Eric Edgar.

Martin *de la O* b. 1898 in *Colotlan*

    Lasaro *de la O* b. 17 Dec 1906, *Colotlan*

    Agustin *de la O* b. 30 Sep 1911. *Colotlan*

all immigrated to California between 1920 and 1930.

The parents: Cipriano Gaeta* de la O* b.3 Oct 1876 in *Boquilla, Jalisco*

Francisca *Carillo Carillo* b. abt 1884 *Colotlan.*

Does this relate to other *de la O* families I've seen mentioned on this
site ? I haven't found any info in the files.

The most distant relative found is Bernardino *de la O* b. abt 1804 ,
    *Tlatenango,
    Zacatecas.*
married in *Colotlan* on 28 Nov 1829 to
    Maria Ysabel *Alvares
Miramontes* b. 17 Jul 1811 in *Momax, Zacatecas*
    **
    both died in* Boquilla.*
    **
I'm assuming that the Boquilla mentioned is La Boquilla Zaragoza, a few
miles to the north east of Colotlan. There is a reference in an article
about nearby town *Totatiche* of a hacienda owned by a* **de la O* family.
Anyone with knowledge of this area?

De la O family from Colotlan and Boquilla, Jalisco

    Hello Edgar,

I am researching the area of Colotlan and Totatiche in Jalisco. I have De La O family and I descend from Manuel Santos Carrion married to Manuela De La O on 25 FEB 1699 in Totatiche, Jalisco. Manuela De La O was the daughter of Miguel De La O and Maria Perez. Miguel De La O is the son of Pedro Covarrubias and Gertrudis De La O. Gertrudis De La O was the Owner of Hacienda San Antonio de la O in Cartagenas, Totatiche, Jalisco in about 1650 according to Arturo Ramos (he has more information than I do on this family).

I couldn't find any of the De La O family you mentioned connecting to mine, but I did find other connections.

Here is the ancestors of Cipriano De La O Gaeta:
    http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/PRF/pedigree_view.asp?recid=1330…

Here is the ancestors of my great-great-grandfather Donaciano Miramontes Cardenas:
    http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/prf/pedigree_view.asp?recid=1330…

Comparing the two charts, you'll notice I share Miramontes-Campos, Gaeta-Mayorga, and Cardenas-Marques with Cipriano De La O Gaeta.

Take a look at my files if want to see more information on those families. Let me know if you would like any additional information on something in particular.

There are a couple of other people in the group researching the same families listed above.

Looking forward to hearing more from you,
    Angie Godina
